Truth and Vanity

The truth is not always what it appears to be.
Sometimes it is a stinging rebuke.
Other times it is a consoling emotional high.
Most often we contemplate what may be the worst thing in our lives
To the extent that we embrace it with open arms
But the truth,
The truth is always welcome in one perspective.
Some would rather the honest-to-goodness truth be used rather than soften the punch
To lessen the kick and douse the flame of the offensive facts.
And when they refuse to let the truth change their world view,
The truth becomes to them a lie, and the lie becomes the world’s newest truth.
One must look beyond the surface of that which they call truth
And realize that for everyone there seems to be a version of truth.
But in reality, there is only one huge Truth, and if you have the power to seek the Truth,
If you use the truth of everyone else to realize the entire Truth, the real Truth,
Then you may find yourself opening a gate to an unknown world
You may indeed bring down the power of God
Because you finally have learned the whole Truth.
So what is truth? Pontius Pilate asked that question,
And he got no response. Not even a simple hint from Him who quarter the world calls a god
Another quarter called the man-god,
And the remaining half denied ever was a god in the first place.
For until you call down Truth and ask Him what Truth really is...
Your search will be like the pseudoscience of Alchemy…a noble pursuit but all vanity.
